D., A. G., Diamond Jubilee of Confederation: Lest we forget, [Ottawa: s.n.], 1927.

Diamond Jubilee of Confederation: Lest we forget, an 8-page printed booklet, was written by Arthur Doughty to mark “a most significant step in our political career” (p. 3).  In the booklet, Doughty provided an historical overview from early explorations to the present day, noting key political achievements and developments leading to nationhood and the recognition of Canada as a world power.

There were other publications written to mark the 60th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation and published in 1927.  For more details on the publication for the Diamond Jubilee, and for an elaboration on Doughty’s role in the celebrations, please refer to the pdf attached below.

Print copy of Diamond Jubilee of Confederation: Lest we forget held by LAC (OCLC #319756126) was reviewed; select images are pictured above.  A French equivalent of AGD publication was not identified. Only one copy of this booklet was located; digital copy was not available.
