Doughty, Arthur G., "The Probable site of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, with plans and illustrations", communicated by Sir John Bourinot, The Proceedings and Transactions of The Royal Society of Canada, Ottawa: The Royal Society of Canada, Printed, Montreal: The Gazette, ser. 2, vol. 5, (May) 1899, pp. 359-425.

This paper was first published in The Proceedings and Transactions of the Royal Society of Canada for its May 1899 meeting, and later published as an offprint. Authors received about 100 copies of their papers in pamphlet form which they could distribute as they liked. For example, AGD provided an offprint to Harvard University (OCLC #890962909).

Wilson Collection includes one copy of the original paper as printed in The Proceeding and Transactions of The Royal Society of Canada, (May) 1899, and one offprint: "For sale by J. Hope & Sons, Ottawa; The Copp-Clark Co., Toronto; Bernard Quaritch, London, England, 1899". The Wilson Collection copies were reviewed; select images are pictured above.  A digital copy of the original paper as printed in The Proceedings and Transactions of The Royal Society of Canada, (May) 1899, is available through Biodiversity Library; and a digital copy of the offprint held by the Harvard University Library (OCLC #890962909) is available through Google Books. The digital copies were reviewed; select images are pictured above.

Historical context regarding AGD's research on the site of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham is found in the attached notes below.
