Doughty, A.G., Quebec of Yester-Year, Toronto: Thomas Nelson & Sons, Limited, 1932.

There was much publicity surrounding the release of Quebec of Yester-Year, with several advertisements and articles appearing in newspapers throughout the country. As well, the book was reviewed in such periodicals as, The Canadian Bookman, and Saturday Night. Thomas Nelson & Sons, Limited, a publisher from the United Kingdom with an office in Toronto, expanded its Canadian list in the 1930s with such titles as Quebec of Yester-Year. The original price of the publication was $3.00 (Canadian).

The Gazette, (Montreal, 13 February 1932, p. 13) in its review "New Books, Quebec's Romance", noted 'The text is plentifully and delightfully illustrated and the whole comprises a book well worth the interest of the student as well as that of one who reads for mere pleasure." And the Times Colonist (Victoria, British Columbia, 13 February 1931, p. 20), said "Archivist is brilliant recreating life and times of first Canadians..."
